Amee Sonani recently joined Timeline and is our primary Architect. She is a licensed architect with a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Illinois Institute of Technology and is an LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) from the U.S. Green Building Council. Amee’s primary responsibilities with Timeline are designing homes for our clients, working on city permits, and working with city officials.
Amee is originally from Gujarat, India and obtained her Bachelor of Architecture at Indubhai Parekh School of Architecture before moving to the United States . When asked where her favorite place in the world is she responded, “I love beaches! Goa Beach in India is my favorite. It really makes you feel like home.”
She finds the best part of her job is connecting with clients. “Each client is unique and they all have different personalities. I love it!”
Best Career Lesson
“To focus on one thing at a time and do your best at it.”
“Learning isn’t about earning, but a way of flowering.”
If Amee could have any superpower, it would be to be able to climb walls. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family. When asked what is one thing you can’t live without she responded, “Family, of course.”
The three words that best describe Amee are curious, creative, and life-long learner. She’s also a great shot with a gun! She excels at aiming and even competed at a national level. If she wasn’t an architect, she would probably become a chef.
If she could meet anyone in the world, she would want to meet Sadghuru who is a spiritual leader in India. One food she can’t resist? Chaat.
