Chepe Mantica
Eleven-year-old Chepe would have never imagined he would be in the position he is in today with Timeline Design + Build. What started as innocent art class perspective drawings transformed into a love affair of aesthetics in all fields of design. This love affair then manifested itself into a five-year architecture degree from Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico, the founding of his own architecture firm, Mantica Architects, and several projects winning international acclaim and building awards including the CEMEX building award on ten different occasions. Having grown his own successful Architecture firm for fifteen years, Chepe brings his distinctive architecture style to the flourishing Silicon Valley. Originating from a country with a poor economy, his designs are naturally geared towards minimalism and integrating the outdoors with the indoors to enhance the negative space between them. Influenced highly by music and light, the spaces he has designed over the years possess a strong connection with the human senses, his signature architecture style. More recently, Chepe has been appointed as the new Design Review Commissioner for the City of Los Altos, an honor that he will hold for a term of four years. Outside of work, Chepe enjoys being a good father and a devoted husband. You might find him playing Legos with his kids or performance driving, playing tennis and pickleball or cooking and grilling.
