We have defined ourselves in the market by providing a clear process from start to finish. Our clients always know what to expect. We dedicate ourselves to keeping a transparent working relationship throughout every step of the design and construction process.
Because of our experience, we do a few things differently to enable us to shorten the project time frame and get you into your new home, kitchen, or remodel as soon as possible.
Our process is one of the things that set us apart from any other design/build firm. Matthew Harrigan has spent years developing many analytical systems and tools after experience taught him that a client’s indecision can hold up a project for months. The way we work is that construction doesn’t begin until the client, along with help from our interior designers, has chosen their “Owner Supplied Materials” (such as appliances, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, tile, etc.). All of these items need to be ordered at some point, we just have the clients do it on the front end. This also relieves stress for the client because all the work they need to do is done early in the process and they can then relax during the construction phase.
In our experience, it is helpful to have a two-meeting introduction. The first meeting is held at the Timeline Design office. The second meeting is at your home.
The meeting at our office is an opportunity to introduce you to Timeline Design and show you what makes us different. During this session, we review our business practices, as well as a project flow chart that provides a detailed look at every step of our process. We also provide you with a binder which is filled with useful information regarding remodeling and construction.
The purpose of the second meeting at your home is to find out what your goals and objectives are, to view the property, and to give you a preliminary estimate of what your project will cost. We’ll also offer some design solutions that you may not have thought of, and will even give you some rough sketches of our ideas.
If you elect to move forward with us, we will give you some references to visit so you can talk to our past clients and see the quality of our work.
Once you have decided to work with us, we will sign a design agreement and get started on your project!
At the start of your project, you’ll be assigned to one of our Project Managers who will be with you every step of the way and onsite during construction, ensuring your project runs smoothly.
Because of our great team and well-honed process, we’ve completed high-end kitchens in just eight weeks and built large-scale custom homes in only 12 months. What can we do for you?
A design/build project is typically designed in-house and built by that same firm. This ensures that, because the same people work with you from start to finish, what was envisioned in the design phase of the project is carried through construction.
By handling the design portion of your project, Timeline keeps you on budget. This is because architects aren’t expected to know the cost of executing their plans, while at Timeline, we can tell you up front if we can do what you want and within your budget. We listen to your wants, needs, and wish lists, and design around these while keeping your budget in mind at all times.
